All big things come from small beginnings — and with a collection that is now loved by families around the world, this Spanish designer hasn’t lost its traditional charm along the way. The story began in 1970 in a small workshop where former seamstress Paz Rodríguez designed and hand-made clothes with a personal touch. Today, the brand continues to create beautiful childrenswear in her honour with collections that are rooted in tradition.

Expect classic shapes, fine knits and minimalist colour palettes in this collection for boys and girls, whose distinctive design details celebrate Spain’s rich history of textile production.“Part of our creative process relies on traditional techniques, such as hand-knitting and hand-embroidery,” shares Adriana Gómez, PAZ Rodríguez’s communications manager. “Our workshops in Spain combine textile innovation with age-old expertise, following sustainable processes and ensuring every detail is thoughtfully crafted from design to final finishing.”

Babidu, a Spanish brand that's loved around the world, prides itself on designing comfortable clothes that blend natural fabrics with elegant design. Founded by Eva Rodríguez, a Sevillian-born designer with a passion for creating beautiful childrenswear, the brand hand-makes its designs in Spain using materials of the highest quality. And then there are the details! “As well as focusing on the very best fit for your child, we also ensure that the little finishing touches shine too,” says Eva. “100% cotton lace, mother-of-pearl buttons and delicate embroidery are just some of the flourishes that you’ll come to know and love from this collection.”

Created with comfort in mind, Babidu's designs include lightweight outfit sets and individual pieces that can be matched together effortlessly, perfect for brothers and sisters who love to coordinate. The brand also caters to newborn needs perfectly with everything from floral dresses and shorties to handy changing bags that help to keep organised on-the-go.

Camilo Grandal and Ines Leiros founded Artesanía Granlei in 1980, beginning their story in a small home workshop. Initially specialising in knitwear for babies, their designs grew in popularity and the brand came to offer a whole collection for children up to 10 years old. Today, the team continues to honour its Spanish roots whilst also ensuring that their production meets the growing demands of families, something that the brand’s representative, María Lago, says sets them apart from others: “All of our items are designed and manufactured with dedication and love in our own factory. And as well as using traditional techniques, we also embrace new technology to stay in touch with our customers’ growing needs.”

As you browse the collection, what’s most noticeable is the blend of tradition and modernity. The timeless details give us a glimpse into the country's rich history of textile production through the use of quality fabrics and traditional artisanal craft, such as delicate lacework and intricate knit patterns, yet the silhouettes are distinctly contemporary — there’s no mistaking the Artesanía Granlei look.

Loved around the world, Spanish brand Tutto Piccolo encourages us to look to the past and the future. Back in 1982, founder Mercedes Moltó and her husband Desiderio Mataix believed that boys and girls should dress well for all occasions. So, what is different now that their children run the family business? Nada. 
 

The range from Tutto Piccolo is in keeping with the classic Spanish style, renewed with modern elements, such as playful necklines and a mix of more saturated colour palettes alongside its signature neutrals, to keep their look up to date. If you haven't met Abuela Tata yet, let us help you get acquainted with this Seville-born brand. Founded in 2012 as a family business, the brand is best-known for creating traditional Spanish occasionwear with the wow factor. “Our garments are handcrafted using time-honoured techniques passed down through generations,” says Abuela Tata’s co-CEO and head of design & production Sonia Rodríguez. “We work with delicate fabrics, such as embroidered tulle, natural cottons, and guipure, and we pride ourselves on hand-finished details like pleating, lace trimming, and carefully applied embellishments.”

The centrepieces of the collection are the brand’s lace-overlayed ceremony dresses, complete with fluted sleeves and delicately placed bows — and the accessories have been considered too with matching hairbands to complete her look. “But what about designs for boys?” we hear you ask. Comfortable two-piece sets come in soft, harmonious colours so you can easily put together those perfect brother-sister outfits.
