Quintessentially Parisian, playfully fanciful, and sophisticatedly sweet, Bonpoint is shaped by happiness. Each detail is consciously added, delivering a thoughtfully designed item that is as beautiful as it is practical. A perfect combination of contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship has yielded a refined yet effervescent aesthetic.

Bonpoint was first established in 1975 when the small store opened its doors in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Marie-France and Bernard Cohen, the husband and wife duo behind the store, chose a sweet cherry logo, supposedly inspired by the cherry trees that surrounded their family home. Where it all began…


The first Bonpoint store opened its doors in 1975 at 67 Rue de l'Université in Paris, where it still serves customers today. After over a decade of selling playful Parisian children’s clothing, Marie-France's sister designed a beautifully fresh, subtle scent suitable for children. Little ones can match the whimsical elegance of their outfit with a light spritz of the age-appropriate fragrance, and feel rather grown-up doing so! 

Bonpoint had continued success, and in 2005 Christine Innamorato became the company's Artistic Director. It wasn't until 2007, though, that the brand took off globally when Bonpoint was acquired by The EPI group, providing the investment needed to grow internationally. The brand now has 120 stores across 30 countries, including a handful of concept boutiques in Paris, New York, Tokyo, and London. These stores are places of happiness and imagination, with each boutique embodying the magic of fairytales in their whimsical displays.

Continued success

After two years of research, Bonpoint built on its range of fragrance with a curated collection of natural and hypoallergenic skincare products, launching in 2010. With the skincare collection increasing in popularity over the next few years, 2008 saw the range incorporated into the spa treatments at the iconic 5-star Bristol Hotel in Paris, with treatments designed for both parents and children.

Current collections

Anne-Valérie Hash took the reins as Artistic Director in 2019 and has continued Bonpoint's legacy, respecting both the traditional craftsmanship and refined modernity that makes the brand stand out. Bonpoint has gone from strength to strength and has retained a fundamental focus on happiness and effervescent luxury. 

 

The Spring/Summer 21 collection has been expertly curated, and many of the items can be mixed and matched. The inclusion of Liberty London fabrics exudes the traditional luxury synonymous with Bonpoint, and nautical stripes pair elegantly with the ditsy florals. True to form, the addition of a sweet pom-pom cherry on the striped knit personifies Bonpoint's joy and humour that we know and love.
