What Alfie Wore | SS'20

We're approaching the start of a new season which means another look into the wardrobe of our favourite three year old - Alfie. Always so stylish and super-cute, Alfie's signature look is very traditional and is beautifully curated by mum Emma.

For spring, Emma's picks include Alfie's trademark T-bar shoes, shorts, a neutral knit and cute knee length socks. For the unpredictable cooler days, Emma has chosen some transitional pieces including a long sleeved shirt and chino trousers - we can't believe how grown up he looks!

Spring Style Tips from Emma

"Spring is in the air and finally it feels good to take a layer or two off. Sunnier times are coming and with the milder weather just around the corner, investing in a few transitional pieces that work throughout spring into summer is a must."

"Pale blue is beautiful throughout spring, I love the subtle blue and white stripe on this Babidu 2 piece. Babidu is one of my favourite traditional wear brands for Alfie. It’s an affordable quality made brand that thankfully believes in traditional wear beyond the toddler years. Knee high socks complete this classic look or equally as beautiful would be ankle socks with canvas shoes, perfect for special occasions throughout the season."

"Beige chino shorts are another staple this spring. I like to choose pieces that are wearable time and time again. These shorts are an investment piece that will wear well with polo shirts, shirts and sweaters throughout the warmer months. For a fresh look, this cotton Ralph Lauren shirt teams perfectly. It’s smart but relaxed and can be worn daily throughout spring.

Throw over a knitted cardigan for an adorable look. This Stella McCartney bunny ear cardigan wears beautifully - I’m a huge fan of double breasted buttons, it adds a smart feel to a cute outfit. This piece is perfect for Easter outings, I love it."

Emma says ...

"Shirts are a wardrobe stable in spring. I love the burst of colour in this Polo Ralph Lauren shirt. Wear loose for a relaxed feel although my personal preference is to wear tucked-in with signature chinos for a classic, smart look. Choose a lightweight cotton that feels soft and light to wear - long sleeve are perfect for those not quite summer days.

Tan moccasins complete this look - smart and practical they are the perfect pick. I’m a huge fan of the pebble grips on the sole of these Children's Classics shoes. The Velcro straps are great for a little added security too."
