Here at Childrensalon, we love discovering new and inspiring brands from around the world to join our ever-growing family of designers. And as Eid approaches, we're especially excited to welcome Tomi Fashion*, a label bringing something entirely new to our collection of boys' clothing.
Back in 2016, founder and creative director Fatimah Yousif Al Abadi set out to reimagine traditional Saudi attire in a way that felt modern, wearable and authentically connected to her heritage. The result? A thobe that caters to the traditions of Middle Eastern dressing, with the comfort boys need for a full day of celebration. We spoke with her about the inspiration behind her designs and three of her favourite pieces this season . . .

What started as one mother's quest to create beautiful, traditional pieces rooted in Saudi culture has since become a regional favourite. Fatimah tells us that when she first became a mother to a boy, she "naturally gravitated towards creating thoughtful, beautiful outfits that expressed both childhood innocence and our deep cultural roots. Styling him opened a new creative world for me, and those early looks became the spark that eventually grew into Tomi Fashion."
Her vision from the start was clear: "My goal has always been to merge Saudi identity with contemporary design, while ensuring each piece remains exceptionally comfortable, practical and child-friendly," Fatimah explains. "Now, my inspiration comes from being a mother of three boys. Azzam, Joad, and Adeeb have shaped every part of my creative journey. Each design begins with them: their comfort, their movement, their personalities, and the joy of seeing them wear pieces that celebrate our Saudi heritage in a modern and playful way."

What makes a Tomi Fashion thobe special isn't just how it looks; it's how it feels and moves with your child. Every design thoughtfully balances tradition with the practicalities of dressing your little ones, from the fabrics chosen to the smallest construction details. As Fatimah explains, "Comfort and functionality play a major role in our design approach, and many of our thobes feature an integrated outer robe, or daglah, allowing mothers to dress their sons effortlessly without worrying about layering or losing part of the outfit." It's these thoughtful design touches that make celebration mornings a little easier, leaving more time for the family moments that really matter.
