TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Name and address
Childrensalon Limited (Company Number 04997666) is a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 9 High Street, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1UL (the Company).
2. How to participate
2.1 In order to enter this competition, go to https://www.instagram.com/childrensalon and follow the @Childrensalon account, Like the World Book Day post and answer the question in the comments of the post (costs to enter this competition via the internet may vary, please check with your service provider for current charges).
2.2 You may not enter this competition if you are under the age of 18 and, by entering, you confirm that you are not.
2.3 All entries must include @handle commenting an answer to the post question, liking the post and following the @Childrensalon account.
2.4 Entries which are incomplete, misspelt, inaudible, or incomprehensible are void and will not be entered in to this competition.
2.5 You may only submit one entry to this competition. Entries over the maximum number of entries will be void and will not be entered in to this competition.
2.6 No purchase is necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
2.7 The Company will not accept:
2.7.1 responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
2.7.2 proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
2.8 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3. Start date
This competition will start at 2pm GMT on 5th March 2020.
4. Closing date
The closing date for this competition will be at 2pm GMT on 6th March 2020.
5. Selection of the winner
5.1 The winners of the prize draw will be randomly selected using random number selection software and from all entries correctly submitted before the closing date in accordance with these terms and conditions.
5.2 You acknowledge that you may be required to be used in publicity if you are selected as a winner.
6.1 The prize is as follows: one copy per winner of ‘Why Do Tigers Have Stripes?’ book. There will be up to ten winners.
6.2 There is no alternative prize.
6.3 The prizes are non-transferable and exclude any additional costs and expenses.
6.4 The winners are responsible for all applicable taxes and expenses not specified in the description of the prizes above.
6.5 We reserve the right to substitute the prize with a prize whose value is equal to or greater than that of the prize.
7. Restrictions and requirements
7.1 Please note the following restrictions and requirements apply:
7.1.1 there is a limit of one entry per person;
7.1.2 entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed; and
7.1.3 employees of the Company and their immediate families are ineligible to enter this competition.
7.2 The Company will not accept competition entries that are:
7.2.1 received after the closing date;
7.2.2 automatically generated by computer;
7.2.3 completed by third parties or in bulk;
7.2.4 illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
7.2.5 photocopies and not originals; or
7.3 The Company reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
8. Notification of the results and receipt of the prizes
8.1 The Company will notify the winners by e-mail or telephone on or before 9th April 2020.
8.2 The winners will receive their prizes on or before 8th May 2020.
8.3 If the prize is a voucher, it will be sent to the winner’s email address. If the prize is goods, the Company will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner but, if the winner cannot be contacted, is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 days of the announcement date, the Company reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the closing date.
9.1 The name and country of the winners will be published on our website for one month after the closing date.
9.2 Once you have submitted an entry, you acknowledge that the copyright in your entry will be owned by the Company.
9.3 You agree that the Company may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website at www.childrensalon.com and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
9.5 The Company reserves the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
9.6 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Company may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from participating in the competition.
9.7 Nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud.
9.8 These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
