Secret Santa with Ava, Suri & Veronica

Secret Santa is a Western Christmas tradition whereby present givers are assigned a name in secret - usually the names are written on a piece of paper and pulled out of a hat. The name you receive is the person you buy the gift for and the idea is to ensure it remains secret., so the person never finds out who the gift is from. Traditionally, presents were fun or silly and the aim was to buy something to a set value which was usually a very low amount, as a challenge to all involved. In recent years, this game has become more popular especially

amongst close friends and large families who choose to buy one special gift for just one friend or family member - that way everyone gets an extra special gift.
As a result, Secret Santa has become more popular and the gifts more luxe. We challenged three of our little influencers Ava, daughter of @coral_pearl, Suri, daughter of @mrssofiagouveia and Veronica, daughter of @masha_theone to take part in the game. The three little girls had so much fun picking out something special for their designated friend, with a set budget of £50 ...

Veronica's Secret Santa gift was from Suri. Suri chose a really pretty pearl hair clip and a soft faux fur scarf. Hair clips are big news this season, especially oversized or statement ones. The pearls make it perfect for party outfits, however accessorising casual outfits such as jeans and a jumper with pretty adornments is a really cool look. The fur scarf is so versatile and classic - unlike clothing, a scarf is a real investment buy as children won't grow out of one straight away. Wear with as an accessory to add glampur to a dress or wear with outerwear to keep little necks warm.

Veronica, what do you like about the gift you received from Suri?
I really like my pearl clip, it’s so beautiful - makes me feel like a princess and the scarf will keep me warm when I go skiing.

Suri, why did you pick your gift for Veronica?
Veronica is such a cute little girl and she is a true fashionista but at the same time a very girly girl so I thought that these two items would fit her cute and stylish style. First I chose the faux fur scarf, one of my favourite colours and because I know the brand, I know that the faux fur is so fluffy and soft. I wanted something to complement it with and when I saw this pearl hair clip, I knew that was it. You can never go wrong with pearls and faux fur, very trendy and girly.

Ava's Secret Santa gift was from Veronica. Accessories are great to give as gifts as no matter their style, they can match them to their own clothing. A hat is a good choice for this time of year and should last a few winters - metallics are big this season and just like black and white, silver is neutral so will go with anything. This cat bag is so adorable - the cute cat face is sure to be something all little girls will love and one as purrrrfect as this will never go out of style.

Ava, what do you like about the gift you received from Veronica?
I absolutely loved my gifts from Veronica! It was such a nice surprise! I love how shimmery the hat is and it fits really well! I also really love the cat bag and will definitely use it a lot! It really is my style! Thank you so much Veronica!

Veronica, why did you pick your gift for Ava?

I like pom pom hats, they are cute and keep you warm in winter. I also thought Ava might need a backpack during her school break to carry crafts and snacks when travelling or visiting her grandma.

Suri's Secret Santa gift was from Ava. Ava chose just one item and made the right choice as Suri was over the moon. A little girl can never have enough glitter - a sparkly accessory is just the thing to keep in the wardrobe for parties and is the ideal size to carry a lip gloss, small mobile phone and all girls' little everyday essentials. For those who think it's too good to save for special occasions - as Ava says - it can be used when going out for the day, just the thing to cheer up dreary winter days.

Suri, what do you like about the gift you received from Ava?
I have to say that this bag was already in my wish list so you can imagine how happy I was to receive it, such a fantastic surprise. I like it because it's so glittery and cute. It goes with many outfits I have and love and the size a it's perfect to carry whatever I need. The only thing is I'm pretty sure my little sister will try to wear it as well, maybe I should gift her one this Christmas too!

Ava, why did you pick your gift for Suri?
I picked the Guess bag for Suri as I thought it would go really well with her outfits and I loved how glittery it is! I also thought she might like the fact that it is heart-shaped and she could wear it over her shoulder to take her things out with her for the day!
