HATS, BAGS AND COOL KICKS
More is more when creating this look and accessories are no exception. First on the list is a hat - choose from a sporty baseball cap featuring designer names and slogans or a knitted beanie hat for keeping floppy skater-hair neatly in place. Cross body bags such as messenger bags - called so because they are worn across the body - are perfectly-sized for storing essentials without getting in the way of kick flips and 360’s. In the same way belt bags, also known as ‘bum bags’ are worn diagonally across the chest for a modern update on this look. Opt for logo trainers, high-tops and '90s style lace up boots worn with trousers tucked in.

GRAPHIC TEES, OVERSHIRTS & HOODIES
The key to signature skater style is layering and this happens on the top. Graphic T-Shirts in the classic crew neck style, worn oversized, baggy and emblazoned with brand names and slogans are the essential item for creating the skater-boy look. Layer Tees with an oversized shirt, preferably a checked one, denim or with contrasting brand logos. For an extra layer, choose a hoodie for tying around the waist or wearing over the top of T-Shirts and shirts.

CARGO PANTS, CHINOS & SHORTS
Skate-style pants are generally baggy, oversized and comfortable to wear and move around in. Cargo pants and chinos are a smarter option - choose cool camo for the ultimate urban look - and joggers are the most comfortable basic that every boy loves. To compliment the style whilst not going all-out skater - straight leg and skinny jeans can be mixed and matched with other wardrobe essentials. Finally, shorts aren't just for summer - wear long shorts with sports socks pulled up to the knee right through until spring.
