Corri McFadden @corrimcfadden, describes herself as" Industry pioneer. Business woman. Fashion obsessed. City girl turned mountain mama". Documenting her life as an Aspen mom, taking inspiration from her little five year old daughter, Zelda she runs fashion and lifestyle blog Glitter and Bubbles. Based in the beautiful mountain town of Aspen, Colorado Corri moved there after working for more than 15 years running her own E-commerce company in the fast pace of the windy city - Chicago.
We met Corri and Zelda at our goop x Childrensalon Family day event in January of this year. Given their knowledge of all that Aspen has to offer families, we asked them to document their five favourite things to do with children.

Aspen is the perfect place to visit with kids, so many awesome once in lifetime memories to be made!
1. FAMILY SKI - BUTTERMILK MOUNTAIN & SNOWMASS
When you think of Aspen, skiing is the first thing that comes to mind. If you want to tackle the mountain with your tiny crew, I recommend skiing at Buttermilk Mountain or Snowmass. They are both set up for beginners and offer ski lessons for children. Do yourself a favour and put them in ski school for a day, so you can get some time for yourself on the mountain while they build confidence on the slopes.
2. THE ASPEN ART MUSEUM
The Aspen Art Museum is a free experience and located in the centre of town. Currently housing Yayoi Kusama: Where the Lights in My Heart Go Infinity Mirror Room. It's the only free Infinity mirror room experience in the world. It will be open until May 10, 2020 and is simply outstanding - something children will undoubtedly love!
3. ASPEN CARRIAGE AND SLEIGH RIDES
Imagine yourself dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh - well, there's no need to imagine as you can make this a reality! Aspen carriage and sleigh will pick you up in the centre of Aspen in a horse and carriage for a charming ride through the town and will then drop you off at your horse-drawn carriage for a sleigh ride through the Rockies! The Rocky Mountains have stunning scenery with endless wilderness, diverse wildlife and beautiful alpine lakes. They stretch out for an awe-inspiring 3,000 miles and run from British Columbia and Alberta in Canada right through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, here in Colorado, and down to New Mexico in the U.S.
4. HOT CHOCOLATE AT THE ST REGIS HOTEL, ASPEN
What's better than a little après skis! Aspen has a pretty serious hot chocolate game and our favourite is at the St. Regis Hotel! Make sure you put this delicious treat on your list! Not just famous locally, the hot cocoa selection at the St Regis in Aspen appeared on the Forbes 7 Luxe Hot Cocoas To Warm Up To This Winter list. The hotel is an experience within itself - you can ride the gondola up to their famous sun deck which gives you amazing views of the mountain. Once there, you can enjoy your cocoa outside whilst sitting in one of their giant, red rocking chairs surrounded by snow.
5. SAY CHEESE!
Teach your kids how to take a photo! The scenery is truly out of this world, teach your kids to look up and observe around them in a way they never have! Challenge them to take photos of the mountains, wildlife, snow! It's the perfect place to breathe and take in your surroundings!

You recently attended the goop X Childrensalon Family Day event and you looked like you had lots of fun! Tell us a bit more about the event and what you got up to
We had so much fun at the goop x Childrensalon Family Day in Aspen a couple of weeks ago. The perfect morning with all our BFF's eating delicious bites, sipping on juice and designing custom embroidered totes.
- THE goop X CHILDRENSALON FAMILY DAY -
After the success of our summer goop x Childrensalon event in Sag Harbour, USA, we collaborated once again with our favourite lifestyle brand - this time a family fun day in Aspen, Colorado. The goop pop up shop - goop MRKT opened in December at 422 E Cooper Ave, Aspen and on Sunday 17th January we co-hosted the family day in the store's kids corner took over the kids corner where we showcased dedicated skiwear capsule, curated by goop. The activities included a stand up brunch complete with a make-your-own pancake cart and hot chocolate. For the children, activities included an arts & crafts table and a personalised beanie station where they could have their initial embroidered onto a wool beanie hat.
The Childrensalon ski corner will be at goop's Aspen Mrkt until 28 March 2020
