Where did you stay? Tell us about the resort?
We stayed at Four Seasons Jackson Hole. It’s a gorgeous resort nestled in the mountains with jaw dropping views of Wyoming. Four Seasons always caters very well to families, so we knew we were in great hands when we booked it. Upon arrival, they gave Kaia a welcome gift: a kite to fly and a pair of binoculars to view wildlife while we were there. Let’s just say the binoculars went everywhere with us and she was always trying to find some sort of animal. After a long day at Grand Teton National Park, we would swim in their outdoor heated pool and play games in the kids room which was great for Kaia. They also had a great family restaurant inside the property called Handle Bar which was delicious and very kid friendly. I would love to come back in the winter as they are a ski-in/out hotel!

Jackson Hole is the best known as an alpine ski resort and the season runs from November to April. What activities are there to take part in out of season?
There are tons to do with the family like go horseback riding, boating, hiking, rafting, hot air balloon, biking, going into Grand Teton National Park to look at wildlife, walking around Jackson (which is known as the last cowboy town). The possibilities are quite endless.
In addition to Jackson Hole, you visited Yellowstone National Park - a convenient one hour drive away. What were your highlights of Yellowstone?
Yes, we ended up in West Yellowstone to see some of the parks main attractions like Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Springs, The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. It was all so gorgeous!!
Both Yellowstone and Jackson Hole are known for their abundance of wild animals - including bison, elks, wolves and bears - completely different to the ones you see in Hawaii. How many of these did you see and was Kaia super-excited?
Yes, we were fortunate to see a lot of wildlife during our trip. We got to see a cub bear, horses, cows, elk, proghorn, bison, moose, owl, and Kaia’s favourite of them all... the squirrels. Hahaha! We don’t have squirrels in Hawaii and she thought they were the cutest things!

I loved picking out Kaia's clothes for this trip, because we were going to a luxury cowboy resort town. So that meant bringing out the cowboy boots and beautiful dresses. For the day, it's a little more casual as we were doing mini hikes, walks and boat rides. The Mini Rodini leopard print leggings, top and teddy coat were perfect for this. For night, we loved the Monnalisa glittery cowboy boots with her MOLO dress. (The MOLO dress was very prairie like and matched the town we were in!) Those glittery boots made heads turn as those are the best statement shoes and we love that cowboy boots are trending for fall. We had dinner at Amangani and I knew it was a super posh hotel, so Kaia wore her Chloe sweater dress with her Chloe snakeskin booties and every lady stopped her and wanted her outfit from head to toe. She looked so chic!
We do! We love traveling with Kaia and seeing the world through her eyes. It’s a lot of fun!! We have another trip we are planning at the moment for November. Stay tuned for where next!
