One of the hottest invites in the Hamptons social calendar this summer is the goop mrkt - a chic pop up shop in a reimagined general store in Sag Harbor, situated in the affluent upstate New York area - the Hamptons, Suffolk County, USA. In addition to wellness workshops, the shop offers a carefully curated collection of designers, perfectly picked by founder Gwyneth Paltrow, which includes a cute capsule by Childrensalon. Gwyneth launched goop in 2008 from her home kitchen.

What began as a weekly newsletter, is now a go-to lifestyle website where Gwyneth and her expert team give travel recommendations, share healthy recipes, fashion picks and more. This year’s pop-up store will run throughout the summer until September. We were lucky enough to meet Anne Keane, goop’s fashion strategy director at the store’s event, hosted in conjunction with Childrensalon. We chatted with Anne to get her top tips on how she dresses her children beautifully, in addition to a look at the pieces hand-picked by Gwyneth, on sale at the store.

Interview with Anne Keane
Anne Keane, who has spent the better part of her life—and most of her career—honing an effortless, how-does-she-do-it personal style, is goop’s fashion strategy director. Anne is mum to daughters Ellie (12 years), Frances (10 years) and Conor (8 years).
Anne - what do you think are the top three kid’s capsule wardrobe pieces for spring and summer?
I’m always looking for lightweight windbreakers, fun short sleeve Tees, and flip flop alternatives that are waterproof.

Presumably, Ellie and Frances are at the age where they choose their own clothing.
When you used to choose their clothes, did you have a signature style and certain way you liked to dress them?
I tended to dress them on the preppy side when they were younger. We live downtown in NYC a few blocks from KITH and Supreme so those influences have seeped in! Now it’s all about cool sneakers, logo sweatshirts and the mix of preppy with edgy.
Do your girls love fashion and have they got your inherent sense of style?
My girls love fashion! They also love makeup. I let them experiment at home, though they are not allowed to wear any out. My daughter Frances loves to make her own clothes - she will take a Tee and transform it into a Grecian top, or embroider her own sneakers. Ellie is a little more on the conservative side, like me.
