Traditional Fairisle wool booble hat.
The fairisle pattern originated from a Scottish Island called Fair Isle, which lies half way between Shetland and Orkney. For centuries the people of Fair Isle spun, dyed and knitted a wide variety of clothes to trade with passing ships from many countries. Tradition claims that Fair Isle islanders copied their designs from the clothing of Spanish sailors.

Size small = 6mth - 24mth
Size large = 3yr - 7yr
Please note, there may be small differences in the shade and nature of the Fairisle patterns from garment to garment.
